Allegheny College Athletics

Jay Lewis won first team All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference football honors as both a wide receiver and defensive back.  He and Hall of Fame quarterback Mike Ganey connected to set numerous school records, and our inductee still holds five Allegheny receiving marks.  They include receiving yards in a season, with 909 his senior season of 1969; receptions in a season, with 53 that same year, and single game receiving yards, with 254 against Carnegie Mellon on October 18, 1969.  He helped the Gators to the PAC Championship his senior season.
