James E. Allen, a four year letter winner in golf, became the 1980 NCAA Division III driving champion in 1980. A co-holder of a single season scoring average of 76.0, he earned All-America honors four times and was selected for the first team in 1979. Medaling in 1979 and ’80, as well as being named an All-Conference performer in the PAC, Allen set the individual medalist record of 143.
