Allegheny College Athletics

Stranburg, now a resident of Sherwood, OR, won nine varsity letters at Allegheny prior to his graduation in 1961.  An offensive and defensive end on the 1959 and 1960 football teams, Stranburg lettered twice on the gridiron.  He earned four letters in basketball and was the team captain his senior season.  On the diamond, he earned three more letters as a pitcher and outfielder.  During his senior season, the Gators posted an undefeated conference record.

Stranburg was named Allegheny Athlete of the Year in 1960-1961.
