CLEVELAND, Ohio – Sophomore center back
Sam Hoderlein was named North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week as announced on Monday by the league office.
Hoderlein was named the 2012 Blue Devil Classic Most Valuable Player after leading a defensive effort that posted two straight shutouts, including a victory over previously undefeated Fredonia State.
Over the entire seven-day stretch, Hoderlein and the Gators extended their shutout streak to four consecutive games, while keeping the opposition off the board for 411 consecutive minutes.
Hoderlein, along with junior distance runner Bobby Over, were recently selected as the Allegheny College Athletes of the Week.
