D3Football Team of the Week

MEADVILLE, Pa. – For the second time in as many weeks, Allegheny's gridiron program was recognized on the D3Football Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware. Senior linebacker Rudy DeStefano elicited weekly national accolades, as the Gators won their second consecutive conference game.

DeStefano enjoyed a career day as he helped trigger a dominating defensive stand for Allegheny in the fourth quarter of its 15-3 victory over Oberlin. The fourth-year captain from Monongahela, Pa., totaled a career-high 14 tackles, including 11 solo stops while anchoring a defense that surrendered zero yards in the final 15 minutes of regulation.

Through four games, DeStefano ranks second on the team with 34 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss.
